What Italian Doesn’t Like a Nice Mozzarella Pie?

In New England, there are various pizza hot spots. In my opinion, Connecticut is home of the pizza capital of the world; New Haven. Pepe’s, Modern, or Sally’s are all in the debate for the best pie on Wooster Street, but sometimes it is a hassle to drive down to New Haven to get a nice pie. In Wallingford, my hometown, we have so many pizza hot spots such as Hometown, Half Moon, Minnervinis, and more. My go to is a the Spanish owned restaurant called Half Moon. Ironically, they make a pretty kick ass pie and it comes to a whopping $10.50 for a large pie; you just can’t beat that shit.

So this pizza is just a regular mozzarella pie with garlic, basil, and a dash of olive oil. Personally, it is amazing; it isn’t flooded with sauce nor does it fall apart when you try to pick it up. Their cheese pizza is unique because they use a little secret sauce with the mozzarella; they throw in some parmesan cheese and it adds such a good flavor to the pie. Let’s be honest, a kick ass pie for $10.50? How the hell are you gonna beat that? You literally just can’t. If you’re in the area, stop into this place and try a pie out. Even if you’re not feeling pizza, get something. All of their food SLAPS. Also, you get the satisfaction of supporting your locally owned businesses. Overall, I would give this pizza a SOLID 8.9 out of 10. Go try it and let me know what you guys think!
