When the world is not shut down, you can catch me at the casinos quite frequently. Both my parents constantly go up to gamble, go out to eat, and sometimes stay up there because they get free suites in the hotels up there. As many people know, the casinos are home to a variety of great restaurants. My favorite at Foxwoods is Alta Strada. Yeah I know, this place sounds like some fancy ass Italian place. Well you guessed it, it is a fancy Italian place. The prices are not too bad, make reservations though because it gets busy quick. My go to here is the chicken parmesan because it is bigger than your head and comes served with a half pound of pasta. For 28 bucks you get a meal that you can either devour or live off of for three days. I typically choose to devour it.
I am sorry for the shitty picture, but as you can see the chicken is huge, flooded with cheese, and littered with basil. It would be acceptable to describe this as a ten inch pie, but the crust is entirely made out of chicken. The chicken melts in your mouth and is very well seasoned to perfection. The pasta is perfectly cooked and coated in a delicious tomato sauce. By far, this is some of the best chicken parm I have ever eaten. The entire menu is amazing, but this is definitely the best bang for your buck here as it can get VERY expensive VERY quickly. Also, the ambiance in this place is dope; they have all these little candles on the tables and the place seems to be lit up by the candlelight. Oh I forgot to mention, they come out with the little block of cheese and grate it in front of you on top of your pasta. Yeah I know, this is so sick and makes you feel like you are hot shit eating at a place like this. Finally, this is a perfect place to visit with your family or significant other before or after a show, a night of gambling, or even just shopping at the outlets of Foxwoods.
