Just a Good White Broccoli Pie.

Well here we go again with Bellini’s; I told you guys they make phenomenal food between take out and eating there. I usually get pizza with my family on Fridays as it is just a little thing we have always done. Also, we like to try new places for pie, but we tend to land back at Bellini’s in North Haven because they are good people and they make some kick ass food. It really is ideal for us because it is about a ten minute drive from our house to go grab some good food and enjoy a meal with everyone. That’s what it is all about; we do not have many meals together with each other every week, but we always have our pizza on Fridays and our pasta on Sundays.

Alright, let’s get into the details about this pie. If you are getting broccoli on a pie, it better be white because if it was red you have a serious problem. Typically, I get my white broccoli pie with garlic and crushed red pepper. I absolutely love spicy shit; I throw crushed red pepper on absolutely everything. So when you go pick up this pie, it immediately smells heavenly between the strong scent of garlic and the hint of crushed red pepper causes you to salivate the whole ride home. Their pizza is always thin and cooked perfectly. My definition of perfect is a nice crunchy, crisp crust with a somewhat doughy rest of the pie. Not doughy, but not hard as a brick you guys get what I am trying to say. Also, it is nice getting this pie from here because some places throw a whole head of broccoli onto a pie without cutting it up. Like no thanks, if I wanted that I would have walked into the grocery store and bought a head of broccoli to munch on. What would I rate this pie and why? Well, I would give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. Yes, I have had better white broccoli pies, which is why I am giving it room for improvement. Although some pies have been better, I still love Bellini’s because of how convenient it is for me and the people there are simply wonderful. Go try it, you will say the same thing I promise.
